Tips to Avoid Eyestrain

  1. Wear sunglasses when it is bright outside. Bright sun makes you squint and strain your eyes.
  2. Take a break from whatever you're doing every few hours. Get up, stretch and focus your eyes elsewhere.
  3. Work in a well-lighted area.
  4. Use full-spectrum lightbulbs in your home. If possible, use them at work. They are easier on the eyes.
  5. Close your eyes every so often, and keep them shut for a few seconds. It will refresh your eyes.
  6. Blink frequently, especially when doing close work. It keeps them moistened.
